Description: The Oneida materials in the Lounsbury Papers include photographs in Series I. Series II contains plays and songs from the WPA Oneida Language Project and the Workers Alliance of the Oneida Indian Council. Also of interest are an Oneida dictionary by Mercy Doxtator, et al., a field notebook by Martin Joos, and Lounsbury's work on an Oneida dictionary. Description: The Onondaga materials in the Lounsbury collection include a French-Onondaga from 1860 in Series II. There are numerous audio recordings including that of a Condolence Ceremony and the Feast of the White Dog (Guy-wee-oo) in Series VII. (These recordings are restricted due to cultural sensitivity.) The correspondence, in Series I, includes Harold Blau's mention of a recording in Onondaga of part of Handsome Lake's code, William Fenton's work with Howard Sky on the Goldenweiser version of the Great Law of Peace in Onondaga, Michael Foster's description of collecting versions of the Thanksgiving Address in Onondaga, Cara Richards on Onondaga recordings.

Description: The Otomi materials in the ACLS collection consist of materials mainly in the "Otomi" section of the finding aid. Key items includes Radin's "Grammatical sketch of Otomi" (item OtO.1) and "Otomi-English dictionary" (item OtO.2), based upon the Toluca dialect (Temoaya Otomi). Also in this section are the "Sintesis de la discusion en el consejo de lenguas indigenas sobre el alfabeto Otomi" (item OtO.3) and a brief vocabulary by Sapir (item OtO.4). In the “Mexico” section of the finding aid, see “Comparative vocabularies of various Indian languages of Mexico” (item AM5), which includes Otomi vocabulary, and McQuown's “Phonemic systems of various Indian languages of Mexico” (AM3), which includes Otomi information.

Description: The Patwin materials in the Harvey Pitkin Papers include notebooks, notes, vocabularies, slip files, texts, manuscripts and tracings by A.M. Halpern, Paul Radin, A.L. Kroeber, T.T. Waterman, Donald Ultan, and Howard Wilson, along with pencil sketches by Patwin people in Subcollection I, Series I, Series I-A. There are two dictionaries, by Paul Radin and Donald Ultan in Subcollection I, Series I, Series I-B. Series I-C contains linguistic materials collected by Jaime de Angulo, Kroeber, and Waterman. Series I-D contains Pitkin's work with using a krmograph to create phonetic tracings. Subcollection I, Series II-A includes linguistic work done by Elizabeth Bright, Waterman. Subseries 4-C in Subcollection II includes fieldwork done by Pitkin comparing Patin to Wintu and Nomlaki as well as FIeld notes by Morris Swadesh, nineteen unpublished Vocabularies collected by Pitkin, Jaime de Angulo, Mary Haas, Sally McLendon, Mary Bright, Donald Ultan, and Radin. Subseries 5 contains an index to Radin's work on Patwin as well as Pitkin's work on Proto-Wintu and William Bright's worker wtih the speaker Minnie Bill.

Description: The Penobscot materials in the Frank Siebert Papers are concentrated in Series III. Siebert collected census material, treaties and treaty minutes, placenames, with a strong representation of songs, stories, and linguistic materials. There are detailed notes about Indian claims in Maine and genealogical information. There are also educational materials for the teaching of the Penobscot language as well as a wealth of information on Penobscot linguistics. Series V, Siebert's notebooks, have extensive grammatical, phonetic, and vocabulary of the Penobscot language. Both Series III and V reflect Siebert's deep interest in the history of Maine and the Eastern Abenaki including archaeological, pre-history, and colonial era documents such as the Eliot Bible, which Siebert owned a rare copy in his library, which was sold at auction. Series VI and VII contain various drafts of essays on Penobscot culture, language, and history. Series XI contains 5 related photos of Louis Lolar, taken in 1933. Series XII contains approximately 3 hours of Penobscot language recordings, primarily from the 1930s and 1950s.
