Description: The Pentlatch materials in the ACLS collection consist of 3 items in 3 different sections of the finding aid. The "Pentlatch" section includes materials from Boas' recording of Pentlatch language at Comox in 1886 and subsequent analysis (item S2j.3). It contains English-Pentlatch and Pentlatch-English vocabulary, and texts with interlinear translation in German. In the "Comox" section, "Comox and Pentlatch texts" (item S2j.1) contains 15 texts with interlinear translations. (The number that are Pentlatch is undetermined.) Lastly, in the "Salish" section of the finding aid, Boas' "Comparative vocabularies of eight Salishan languages" (item S.1) includes Pentlatch vocabulary derived from earlier field work. See also "Squamish vocabulary," circa 1888, (item S2h.1,) which includes a comparative vocabulary for numbers in multiple Coast Salish languages.

Description: The Pomo materials in the Franz Boas Papers are of unclear total extent, though a few letters relating to Pomo languages and peoples have been identified. In the correspondence with Jaime de Angulo, see especially the letter sent by de Angulo to Boas on December 5, 1934, which details Pomo kinship terms in "Clear Lake" and "Yukaya" Pomo. Other letters in the de Angulo-Boas correspondence may contains other discussion of Pomo languages. In the correspondence with Alfred Kroeber, mentions of Pomo can be found in letters from Kroeber to Boas on December 17, 1907, and May 4, 1927, as well as letter from Boas to Kroeber on May 3, 1930. The collection may contain additional letters and correspondences of relevance beyond these that have not yet been identified.

Description: The Puyallup materials in the ACLS collection consist of materials in multiple sections of the finding aid. In the "Puyallup" section, Aginsky's "Puyallup texts" (item S2e.1) contain texts with interlinear translations, analyses of vocabulary, and other grammatical notes. In the "Chehalis" section, there is Aginsky's "Comparison of Puyallup and Chehalis" (item S.9). In the "Chinook" section, Notebook 3 of Boas' "Field notes on Chinookan and Salishan languages and Gitamat, Molala, and Masset" (item Pn4b.5) contains Puyallup vocabulary and ethnographic notes, some of which are in German shorthand. In the "Nooksack" section, there is a comparative vocabulary of Coast Salish languages (item S.8), including Puyallup terms, also identified as "sXúλ'babš" which may be Homamish.

Description: The Secwepemc materials in the ACLS collection consist of materials found in multiple sections of the finding aid. In the "Shuswap (Secwepemc)" section of the finding aid, there are vocabularies recorded by Boas (item S1c.1) and Teit (item S1c.2) which include names of tribes and other information. In the "Thompson" section, Teit's "Salish ethnographic materials" (item 61) includes some Secwepemc notes, as does Teit's notebooks that make up "Field notes on Thompson and neighboring Salish languages" (item S1b.7). (The extent of Secwepemc material in these notebooks is undetermined as the material does not yet have a detailed contents listing.) In the "Chinook Jargon" section of the finding aid, "Indian legends of the North Pacific coast of North America" (item 74) includes some Secwepemc legends. In the "Kutenai" section, there are some Secwepemc stories in Teit's "Folkloristic tales from the Salish area" (item 12). In the "Lillooet" section, Teit's "Lillooet vocabulary" (item S1a.1) includes some comparative Secwepemc words. In the "Salish" section, Teit's "Salish (and Dene) ethnographic notes" (item 60) includes information on Secwepemc artifacts sent to museums, and "Songs from the Salish area" (item S.6) includes notes on 80 songs (some of which are Secwepemc) recorded for and sent to the National Museum of Canada (now the Canadian Museum of History).
