Description: Until his passing, Daythal Kendall was updating a manuscript titled “Santiam (Kalapuyan) Morphology”, totaling 43 pages at its most developed stage, and can be found in Series 3 in multiple versions. He was also drafting an article titled "Aspects of Verbal Aspect in Santiam Kalapuyan", in the same series. Additionally, Kendall collected many publications by others, made comparisons to Takelma (including a coauthored paper with Marie-Lucie Tarpent), and derived lexical slip files (Series 8).

Description: Daythal Kendall gathered together lexica from various published sources of Lenca (including Ephraim Squier) into a computer database, from which he printed a number of different alphabetizations that were never professionally published. These can be found in his Research series (Series 2), and are of great potential use. Both Honduran and Salvadoran Lenca appear to be represented, although speaker names are only partially identified. He also visited Honduras in 1993 partially in an effort to find and interview Lenca speakers. Additional Lenca may be found in Series 1, among correspondence and materials from the Penutian language workshops.

Description: After finishing his PhD, Daythal Kendall accepting a position at Brandon University, Manitoba to teach local varieties of Cree and Ojibwe, as a temporary replacement for Paul Voorhis. He therefore possessed a large number of Paul Voorhis' Cree publications (Series 5), and during this time produced a large volume of lessons to teach Canadian Aboriginal syllabics. These are in various forms in Series 3, including students' exercises. There is also correspondence relating to this period with Paul Voorhis and Katherine Merriam, as well as a separate conversation relating to American Philosophical Society materials (Series 1). Series 11 contains numerous audio recordings in several Ojibwe and Cree languages, including stories (some unidentified) and langauge exercises.
