Description: The Wailaki materials in the ACLS collection consist mainly of Goddard's 10 field notebooks (item Na20c.1) in the "Wailaki" section of the finding aid. These consist mainly of texts with interlinear material on place names, with reference to an enclosed hand-drawn map, and information on deer hunting. Additional materials can be found in the "Hupa" section of the finding aid among Goddard's "Field notes in California Athabascan languages" (item Na.3), which includes additional Wailaki stories of undetermined extent, and in Goddard's "Hupa materials" (item Na20a.2), which include some Wailaki texts.

Description: Daythal Kendall participated in the 1994-1995 Penutian Workshops, collecting a wide range of material from before and after that conference that sought to solidify some of the various Penutian phylum hypotheses, including of two languages spoken at Yakama Reservation: Yakama Sahaptin and Wasco-Wishram Chinook. Description: William Bright's Yurok materials include audio recordings he made around the same time as recording Karuk, especially of songs. The originals are generally stored at the Berkeley Language Center, but are also housed at the American Philosophical Society, Series 6. There are three notebooks from a fieldtrip made in the early 1960s in Series 3 Subseries 1 (one of which begins with Tolowa language information), in addition to several other elicited lexica in Series 2. He revisited in 1977, the itinerary for which is in Series 4.
