Also in this section is "Essay on the grammar of the Aleut language" (item E2.2) with Boas's corrections, and "Aleut Folklore" (item 69), an ethnography of the Unangan by an unidentified author, likely a student of Boas, based on study made of the Aleut texts of Vladimir Jochelson. Comparative folklore and abstracts of Aleut tales are included. In the "Yup'ik" section of the finding aid, also see Swadesh's "Unaaliq Eskimo vocabulary file" (item E1b.200), which contains comparisons with Aleut languages.

Ransom is considering Voegelin's request for American Indian linguistic materials for graduate students to work on, and might send his unpublished Aleut materials. The contents of Series II. Research Notes, Subseries I. Eskimo-Aleutian, also in Subcollection II, might also be of interest, though the focus there is more on Inuit.
