Description: The Alsea materials in the ACLS collection are located in the "Alsea" section of the finding aid. They consist of 2 items, the largest of which is Frachtenberg's "Yakonan (Alsea) grammar" (item Pn2c.1) intended for publication in Handbook of American Indian Languages, but never printed. Based on field work of J. Owen Dorsey (1884-Siletz, Oregon: vocabularies), Livingston Farrand (1900-Siletz reservation) and the author (1910). Table of contents, grammar, and texts with interlinear and free translations and grammatical notes. The collection also includes 6 pages of linguistic notes recorded by Edward Sapir in 1900 (item Pn2c.2).

Description: The Quinault materials in the ACLS collection consist mainly of two items in the "Quinault" section of the finding aid. One (item S2a.1) is a set of field notebooks recorded by Livingston Farrand that primarily contain stories with interlinear translations, some stories in English only, as well as vocabularies and ethnographic notes. The other item (S2a.2) is a set of vocabulary and grammatical notes recorded by Herman Haeberlin with Quinault speakers Harry Shale of Taholah (on December 28-30, 1916) and Mrs Toby Saux of La Push (on January 2, 1917.) This latter item includes vocabulary for parts of body, natural objects, implements, mammals, fish, reptiles.

Description: The Tsilhqot'in materials in the ACLS collection are found within two larger sets of materials in the collections. In the "Quinault" section of the finding aid, Farrand's "Quinault ethnographic and field notes" (item S2a.1) include a 6-page Tsilhqot'in word list in notebook 7, and and mention of Tsilhqot'in in notebook 14. A basic table of contents of these notebooks is available. Additional unidentified Tsilhqot'in information may appear elsewhere in these notebooks, though the additional extent (if any) is undetermined. In the "Thompson" section of the finding aid, Teit's "Field notes on Thompson songs and language" (item S1b.7) also includes a 6-page Tsilhqot'in word list.
