Description: The Hidatsa materials in the Frank Siebert Papers can be found in two sections. In "Series XII: Recordings," there is 1 shellac phonograph disc, "Hidatsa: a Siouan language: Water Buster account," pressed by the Indiana Historical Society, 1939, which contains a recording by speaker Charley Snow made in 1911. In "Series VII: Works by Others," there are reprints of two articles, one by R.H. Stetson, and one by C.F. Voegelin.

Description: The Hopi materials in the Elsie Clews Parsons papers consist of a large amount of material found in several different section of the collection. In Subcollection I, Series II, "Notes, manuscripts, etc.", item 18 includes the notebooks of Alexander Stephen from 1885-1892; item 51 includes a significant number of photographs from Hopi communities from the period of 1918-1926; and items 46 and 61 also contain briefer manuscript materials relating to Hopi ceremonies. In Subcollection II, Series I, "Professional Correspondence", a number of Correspondences pertain to Hopi matters, particularly Parsons' correspondence with Franz Boas, Ruth Bunzel, Frederick Dellenbaugh, C. Daryll Forde, Robert H. Lowie, Leslie White, and Benjamin Whorf. In Subcollection II, Series III, "Lectures and Manuscripts", there are proofs and drafts related to Parsons' publication of Alexander Stephen's "Hopi Journal." In Subcollection II, Series IV, "Research Notes" there is a large number of Parsons' field notebooks from multiple visits to different Hopi communities. Some portion of this material may be restricted due to cultural sensitivity or privacy concerns.

Description: The only identified Washo materials in the ACLS collection are found in the "Iowa (Chiwere)" section of the finding aid, under the large item "Materials for a study of the Iowa Indian language" (item X4a.2). Part 17 consists of correspondence with Gordon Marsh regarding research on Iowa-Oto and Washo, some wordlists, research notes on plants and fish names, and published material. This has been digitized.

Description: The Yuki materials in the Harvey Pitkin Papers constitute an extensive body of original documentation and linguistic analysis of the Yuki language, a language isolate of northern California. These materials are located almost entirely in "Series II: Yuki materials." This section contains materials recorded and analyzed Pitkin, but predominantly contains stories and other primary text materials (some originals, some as photocopies) recorded and analyzed by other linguists, mainly Alfred Kroeber, as well as briefer materials by Fanggui Li, Hans Uldall, Harold Driver, J.P. Harrington, and Dell Hymes. This section is split in to four sub-series: "Research Notes," "Vocabularies and slip files," "Texts and manuscripts," "Phonetic tracings," and "Correspondence." Some of the Kroeber materials in this collection are photocopies of materials now at the California Language Archive. The only speaker clearly identified as sources are Ralph Moore of Round Valley, though some of the materials may contain other named speakers further within the documents or as initials. The collection also includes Kroeber's kymographs and palatograms of Ralph Moore's speech. Many of the listings contain partial contents descriptions such as titles of stories. Finally, "Series 7: Recordings," includes copies of two sets of recordings, one from 1931, and another from 1972.
