Concerning the printing and distribution of his Dencke was retired from Upper Canada for drinking; Heckewelder can't ask him to do a grammar of the Chippewa using Zeisberger as a model. Discusses Indian vocabularies being collected by Du Ponceau. Sends vocabulary compiled from Carver (C) and Samuel White (S), a Nanticoke. Heckewelder has little knowledge of the Mahicanni [Mohican]; suggests missionary, Sargeant.
