Vater requesting publications from Germany concerning Indian languages and mentioning his own manuscript vocabularies, including the Penobscot. Second item is Emma (Tudor) Hallowell Gardiner to William Tudor, transmitting her Penobscot vocabulary, transcribed according to Pickering's orthography, excepting marking to show duplication of l, m, and n.
