The pyschological materials in the A. Irving Hallowell papers are scattered throughout Series V. Hallowell was interested in psychological anthropology throughout his long career. Much of these materials are general in nature and not necessarily related to indigenous peoples. In the case of the Ojibwe, Cree, Abenaki, and Inuit, Hallowell did conduct studies of subjects such as aggression, behavioral environment, causation, cultural dynamics, cultural and psychology, dreams, somatology, melancholia, remembering, and nerotic signs. These studies can be located in Series V with folder titles named in the list above.
