Description: The Akan materials in the ACLS collection consist of two items in the "Non-American and non-linguistic material" section of the finding aid. Item AfTw.1, "Tchi (Twi) ethnography" is in Twi, and appears to be copied from an unidentified publication. Item 17, "Notes on the Tchi of West Africa", is an ethnographic account of the Akan (Twi, Tchi). Neither have an identified author, but it is possible they were written by Franz Boas, as they are typed on Germanistic Society of America letterhead paper.
