Description: The Aymara materials in the Lounsbury Papers consist of comparative linguistics and studies of kinship in Series II. Of particular interest are the audio recordings in Series VII on the folklore of the Ayar Incas. The correspondence, in Series I, contains information of the geographic distribution of the language, Lounsbury's analysis of the language and its relationship to Quechua, Christian scriptures in Aymara, Morris Swadesh's work on genetic classification of Native American languages, and geographic distribution of Aymara population.

Description: The Seneca materials in the Frans Olbrechts Papers consist of 6 items, found in different sections of the finding aid. In Series I, see items 6 and 7, which include Seneca vocabulary, some in charts comparing them to other Iroquoian languages. Item 9 in this series, "Seneca texts," contains 2 Seneca stories, with partial English interlinear translation. In Series II, item "2: Onondaga and Seneca notebook" includes 36 pages of notes in English on Seneca grammar, and item "9: Field notes, Tuscarora trip" includes Seneca words and phrases given by Peter Doctor. Finally, in Series III, item 14 partially includes texts in Seneca given by Avis Doxtater.
