Description: Daythal Kendall created several lexical slip files out of the Coos linguistic data collected by Leo Frachtenberg, including his own linguistic analysis, which can be found in Series 8. The other item of significance is a manuscript by Jane Sokolow on Coos phonology, found in correspondence with William Shipley (Series 1).

Description: The Kalapuya material in the ACLS collection is concentrated primarily in the "Kalapuya" section of the finding aid, which contains several manuscripts relating to Kalapuya language, folklore, and ethnology, primarily recorded by Leo Frachtenberg and Jaime de Angulo. Additional materials can also be found in the "Tualatin" section of the finding aid, which includes autobiographical stories and linguistic analyses.
