Description: The Meskwaki materials in the Franz Boas Papers that have been identified consist of correspondence with William Jones, a Meskwaki student of Franz Boas. These letters concern field work, preparation of manuscripts, and publication of his Fox texts, as well as Ojibwe materials. Additional materials relating to the Meskwaki may exist in other correspondents' letters in this collection, but are not currently identified.
