This is a typed copy of an article submitted by Daythal L. Kendall of the American Philosophical Society for a 1979 IJAL NATS volume of Coyote stories. It consists of Kendall's literary analysis of two Takelma myths collected by Edward Sapir from Francis Johnston at the Siletz Reservation, Oregon, in 1906. The myths appear in both Takelma and English.
