Letter discussing grave robbing of Indigenous ancestors' remains. Cleaveland has attempted to obtain a Penobscot or St. John's skull, without success. Has sent a Pejepscot skull, taken from a burial ground near the Androscoggin River, 20 miles from Brunswick; belongs to Bowdoin's anatomical cabinets and should be returned.
