Two items relating to the Shasta language have been identified in the C. F. Voegelin Papers. Both are in Subcollection II, Series II. Research Notes, Subseries V. Hokan. They consist of Shasta examples in a comparative vocabulary of California tribes (with words from from Hupa, Wiyot, Karuk, Shasta, Achumawi, Atsugewi, Konkow, Yana, Wintu, Maidu, and Modoc) and a separate Shasta folder containing vocabulary and grammatical notes recorded with Mrs. Emma Snelling, Mrs. Dixon, Sargent Sambo, and Mrs. Bessie Weed.
